My first time in Venice and some new ports in Ravenna, Croatia, Montenegro, Elba, Sanary de Sur, Marseilles, were the primary factors in choosing this cruise.

We arranged our own air and a one night stay in Venice. Very expensive but wanted to be near the St. Marks Square and be able to just walk around and people and monument watch. Stayed at the Savoyia and Jolanda on the Grand Lagoon. Sound proofed rooms, relatively small but clean and elegant. Hotel helped arrange a private water taxi to the ships embarkation area, help with luggage, transferred luggage from water taxi pier directly to our room - about $80. Very quick and easy embarkation.

Have been on Voyager before and like her layout, service by the crew and inclusiveness.. Newly refurbished since last cruise on her and very nice looking, but lost some functionality in the rooms. The larger flat screen TV eliminated the upper level storage area above the desk, refrigerator area. I think the placement of the TV could have been offset and it would have left room for one pier of storage above the desk level. Basically eliminated a set of drawers that I utilized on prior trips. Walk in closet unchanged and greatly appreciated - love this feature. I usually book a guarantee H but it was getting full and good locations were going fast. Ended booking an F, 817 as I like its location. Near forward elevator banks but quiet.
