I was wanting to go to bikeweek in Florida either before or after the cruise. I drive to Florida to bring my motorcycle and its 2800 miles total. Another problem is cruises are normally double occupancy and I wanted to go as a single on my first cruise. I was able to have my own cabin on this cruise and not pay any extra per person. Sometimes they charge double for a single person. You are really not single on a cruise as you meet people every where you go. I had my tip fee paid that I got off my credit card so that saved about 100 dollars and had a free excursion at each island. I went to St. Martin , St. Thomas, and the Bahamas. Went on bus rides to beaches, snorkeling, saw oprah's homes, and lots more all for close to 50 dollars each since that's what they furnish on NCL. The ship was perfect in my opinion but I am not picky. The cabin will hold 4 people so I had it like a king. The food was all good but I just had the buffet as that's what I like. You can sample small amounts of foods to see if you want more and sit where you want. I like eating early where you can go to the shows and get the best seats by being there early. I hear of people missing the show by eating at the other pay extra places and people say its the same food lots of times. The shows were all great and by then you are ready to relax after excursions most days. The cabin was an inside one but that's perfect for me, wouldn't pay extra for the others unless the other half wanted it. I leave early most mornings and stayed out late most nights so not much cabin time for me. Going again next March but it takes some luck to make it fit with Daytona Bikeweek and not pay extra per person if you don't want double occupancy. So for 2016 I couldn't of went without it costing almost double price for a single. I was able to find one to the Western Caribbean in March 2017 but they match you with a roommate but I should be fine with that, I will see. Its a great deal with the service fees paid and 75.00 to spend onboard. I was thinking of spending it on an excursion but my cruise salesman said its for inside the ship only. But I will still ask on the ship since online it says you can buy an excursion with inside money, we will see. But with the 3 excursions last cruise in 2015, I think less excursions would be better this time. It was a great cruise and I love Norwegian at this time and may try other cruise lines if they ever offer a fair deal for a single occupancy with no extra fees, they are rare and far between at this time so any ideas let me know. I'm bretdelman and the msn addy if you wanta talk soon. Hoping to go cruising at least every other year at this time as its the best fun with your clothes on. Well I did go to the nude beach a short walk from the beach on St. Thomas, bet you have heard of it.
