Travel Agent suggested it because Princess handles everything in Alaska for tours. Everything well handled. Non of the on board activity suited us, but we did use the free library. We are over 60 but not interested in shows, casinos, playing games.
Recommend constant check of on ship credits from customer service - if you don't pay gratuity (approx $13.80 for each meal) ahead is taken out daily from EACH passenger, not by the couple. If you have non-refundable credits you won't get it back so spend it in the store. The menu in the named restaurants is limited.
Eat the buffet for all meals instead of one of the other restaurants on board, much more available to eat. If you have not purchased a package for water prior to boarding be prepared to pay $2.50 per bottle. Sodas are $2.50 each. Don't be afraid to ask questions about your bill or you will get surprised with a large bill. They bought a nature commentator on board when going to the glaciers which was very good . . Internet is high and slow so cost increases. Don't use it unless urgent. Alaska is beautiful and happy to have seen it.
Room was comfortable, bathroom understandably small. TV was terrible, had 2 news and on ESPN which did not give up to date info about sports. The movie channels showed one movie all day. Balcony was really nice so you can sit out, sadly it rained everyday and was cold.
