This was our first cruise on the Jade and we chose it mainly for the itinerary, the bonus was that she was sailing from Southampton. Check in was a little chaotic but it was the first NCL check in at Southampton for a while, actual embarkation was smooth and quick. We had no hand luggage so were free to eat and discover the ship. We've been on the Gem twice and the Jade is very similar. The shop all in one place was a great idea and meant you went when you wanted and didn't have to walk through it all the time. The Atrium with Guest Services etc. wasn't somewhere I felt I could relax but there were plenty of other places.

Our cabin was lovely and after a trip on the Epic it was nice to get a bathroom back. The staterooms are a bit on the small side but we only ever really use it for sleeping and it was well looked after as usual.

My wife loves to eat in the MDR so we ate there most of the time, the food was good, the service could be a little slow at times, although we did eat in the buffet, which I was impressed with, the layout seems to have sorted out the problem with queues, the food was fine but finding a table was a bit problematic. Jasmine was great, food excellent as was the service.
