The ship and the senior crew are an absolute disaster.
- Many plumbing leaks across the ship: in the cabin hallways, toilet overflows into main walkways, buckets in shops to catch the drips from the ceiling. Crew admit the boat is getting old and needs lots of maintenance. Always heater fans working to dry out wet carpet, fans and cables created additional trip hazards.
- 2 hour line up for Customs at Sakaiminato. Announcements kept blaming computers not working but when we finally got to the end all (8) computers were working. Again talk to the crew and they say the problem was that most of the Customs staff were set up downstairs where the crew get off. Good news was that there were no lines there and the crew got off very quickly. Captain later apologised and more or less said get over it. Passengers don't pay top dollars to stand in queues. Perhaps the captain needs to be reminded who pays his wages. Excursions were cut short even though it was promised that they wouldn't.
Response from TaylorW, Social Team, Princess Cruises
Cabin was good. Some nights there was a loud whistling of wind. Cabin attendant was excellent.
