Cabin: Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

This was our 18th cruise, but the first on NCL. The Getaway is a newer beautiful ship that holds 4000 passengers. We booked a mini-suite. Same as a balcony room except a couple of feet longer and had a large bathroom. Unfortunately, the jazz club was under us and played until midnight. Although no one told us, all the rooms on floor 9 had a partially obstructed view and had a common area under it.. Don't ever book a room on that floor. There were no drawers and a small closet. The desk chair was replaced by a small stool. ugh. And, the balcony was the smallest I have ever seen. You could only sit there if the chairs were facing each other.

Breakfast was good. The lunch in the dining room was the same menu for five days. And, only eight selections I couldn't believe they didn't change the menu daily.. Dinner in the main dining rooms was adequate. No fancy food like lobster or filet or baked alaska. The dining room service was good. You could go to any of the three dining rooms whenever you wanted. They all had the same menu.

They didn't have a house band so many things seemed poorly done when you have canned music. The theater is small so you had to make reservations as you had to for the comedy clubs. The lines were horrible.
