This cruise was to celebrate our Ruby Anniversary- A very special occasion.

Things did not get off to a good start in Sydney. We boarded early but were then told we couldn't go ashore in Sydney due to Custom restrictions. We had planned a full day in Sydney prior to departure but this was all lost and the restrictions were not made clear on boarding and should have been.

By the time we left Sydney, Cyclone Debbie was forming. At this stage it was only a tropical storm but Azamara should have released that a major cruise disruption was inevitable. The ship's progress was slowed to allow the weather conditions to pass which meant that 4 ports of call were lost. Spending three days at sea avoiding a Cyclone maybe a safe option but Azamara hardly acknowledge this with any additional entertainment except extra film channels in the cabin.

Response from BonnieM, CBO - Azamara Club Cruises

Hello flash in the pan, We are sorry you were discontent with your cruise with us. We regret the extremely bad weather off of Australia; truly not much we can do besides out run the storm. ...
