We only saw the main town which was pleasant, but something of a dump. The resort hotels are probably far more upmarket.

We did not take ship's tour but had pre-booked two days with a driver and guide to take us into the city. Excellent guide booked through Tripbuilder Tours, Myanmar. Fascinating old colonial city. Magnificent Shwedagaon Pagoda, and excellent lunch at the Strand Hotel (Raffles equivalent)

Mumbai is always exciting. Chaotic traffic, but an interesting experience.

Lovely city, but disembarked to fly home.
