Spirit was 34 years old and being scrapped later in 2017. Hence some problems are expected ... there was a toilet failure (few hours), lost hot water (few hours), but these are minor problems! Having done many cruises with P+O, MSC, Norwegian, Fred Olsen, Swan Hellenic, VOD, I have usually had a safe in the cabin. With an old fashioned 'key' safe I have incurred a 'refundable deposit' with digital safes I have never incurred a charge BUT Thomson gave me a key operated safe (got to avoid losing the key) and charged £15 for a weeks rental! Note, RENTAL not a refundable deposit! How mean can you get Thomson?

Therefore I would suggest that Thomson might start levying charges ... foods free, could rent the crockery and cutlery! Maybe coin slots on bathrooms! Toll charges on corridors ... Read more
