Is was our third bi-annual Spring Break cruise with grand-kids. Sailing from Baltimore is great since the port is only 40 minutes from our home.
We opted for Ocean Suites this time around since the little ones aren't so little any longer. We really enjoyed the extra space, and there was more closet and drawer space then we needed. The bathroom had dual vanities which also came in handy, and it was nice that my wife and I could both use the sinks at the same time. It also had a Jacuzzi tub and shower combo that had plenty of room. It had a nicely-sized balcony with two reclining chairs, one static chair, a full-size chaise lounge and table. We enjoyed the time spent out there.
The food for most part was very good, and of course I grabbed several Guy's burgers and breakfast burritos at the Blue Iguana Cantina. The grand-kids practically lived by the soft serve/frozen yogurt machines. We had Early dining which worked well for us. The main reason I didn't give the cruise a 5 rating was due to the service in the main dining room, which was inconsistent at times. This was not because the staff didn't work very hard - they did and I tipped each of our servers extra at the end of the cruise. It was because they are stretched across too many tables - obviously a cost cutting decision by Carnival.
Lots of space, lots of storage, a big bathroom (for a cruise cabin), and a big balcony. Would get this category again.
This was our second time renting a beach villa and again was a great day at the beach. The villa had a private bathroom (very nice to have), hot tub, two-level decks, a dining set, wet bar, fridge, AC in the upper level, padded chaise loungers and comes stocked with ice, water, sodas (of your choice), a veggie tray with dip and tortilla chips with pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream,
This port is very easy for us to drive to and there's plenty of parking for a reasonable rate ($12/day)
