We have sailed many times on Royal Caribbean. This time we took a 9 day spring break cruise. I was surprised by how few young families there were on the ship and how many seniors were on the trip. Next time we will take a 7 day cruise. The ship was very nice and clean. The venues were good but there wasn't a lot going on. On the days at sea I was expecting a daytime trivia or couples game or something but nothing....other than the bingo which cost way too much! The night time entertainment was very good. We enjoyed each show. Our cabin was nice and well kept and the stateroom attendant was there for whatever we needed. Our dining experience was ok. After a few days you get tired of the same foods over and over again. We had dinner at chops for our anniversary and the overall ambience of the restaurant was very nice. The food was ok and the waiter was wonderful. The only problem we have with the dining on the ship at dinner in the main dining room and at chops is that they let you in there to dine wearing just about whatever you want. I feel that if you go to a nice place and are paying more you should dress in more than jean shorts and flip flops.

We loved the ports of call. We would go back and visit all of them except Curacao...not too impressed with that island. Nothing inparticular...l just liked Aruba and Bonnaire better. One thing about Royal caribbean I think they need to become more of a fun ship. LIke I said we were hard pressed to find something to do on the at sea days other than sit by the pool, which was fine. I personally enjoy playing group trivia and games. The cruise director was great but there was some other woman who was working with him and she was very low energy. She was a nice lady but not the kind of person who should be in front of a crowd. Next year we are already booked for a 7 day cruise on the Oasis with the dreamworks experience. We have two young children ages 8 and 10 and it was so hard to pull them from the adventure ocean room. They lived there for the entire week, which was great for us! The only thing is that we compare the adventure ocean to the carnival kids club. When we cruised on Carnival our kids brought home some type of keepsake craft after every visit to the club. This time not so much, they got a bandana and a pillow case. The prices after 10 for child care are very reasonable. I am hoping for a younger crowd and a more fun ship experience next year...if not we may revisit Carnival.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin K

Cabin was what we expected. We usually get an inside cabin and it's not a problem for me. Next cruise we have a promenade cabin. Our attendant Sheila from the Philippines was very helpful. We will miss her! She kept our place nice and clean.

Port Reviews

Labadee

Food was great....ocean has too many rocks. You need to have water shoes or your will get cut feet trying to get into the water.

Miami

Everything was fine.
