We joined the ship in Sydney, heading for Los Angeles, about 28 nights. We have been with Cunard on many cruises, but this was the longest cruise we have taken. Embarkation was quick and efficient. Our luggage was in our room before we arrived. The stateroom was wonderful, room 5097 in the Princess Grill. The food in the restaurant could not be faulted.Every meal was a treat, and the service we received fro our waiters was superb.Always a smile.Entertainment was fantastic, every night a different show. The theatre is wonderful on this ship.Activities proved to be perfect for us.The library was well stocked.Everywhere around the ship staff always had a smile and a word to say, making us feel at home. The excursions at all the ports of call were well planned and we enjoyed them all, especially our trip to Alcatraz, and the visit to a Koala reservation from Melbourne. The overall experience was just wonderful and I would recommend this ship as a first class ship for long cruises. The service we received in the Grills lounge was equal to a 5 * hotel. We will certainly be returning.
