We decided that this cruise would take us to places we would not see otherwise. We joined in Valparaiso (Chile) and left in Buenos Aires (Argentina), having visited the Chilean and Argentinian Pategonia and the Falkland Islands.
Valparaiso cruise terminal made the embarkation a terrible farce; there was a port worker strike, and the ship could only come to the wharf many hours late. However, the cruise terminal messed up the voyager arrival experience and it became a crowded mess with no announcements causing travelers to mis-understand what was going on. The ship was blamed, but was not allowed to explain what was going on. Additionally, the port gate beside the terminal was not open, so we had to be bussed in from a distant gate.
Ours was a 'cool' cruise, even though the weather was unseasonally balmy for late autumn. Having pools outdoors made them unpleasant in the cool weather, and most outdoor bars were soon closed, too. This meant that indoor areas were packed, although it promoted friendship-making.
Clean, and no safety or maintenance issues.
We had a competition with our steward over the towel animals, and he won, of course.
We stayed two days in each of Santiago and Valparaiso. We found each to be quaintly Spanish.
We walked the town.
We walked the town. We also took a local bus to a nearby penguin colony.

We stayed an extra week. We walked the city!
We walked the town. Fascinating!
