We received a mailing to try the cruise line. Thought it would be fun to do. During the process of finalizing all the arrangements (upgrades), never received the confirmations that we were assured we would - had to call several numbers to track down all the logistics already paid for. There was too much traveling from location to location to secure vouchers/service for the "alleged" free meals, car rentals, hotel stay and ship credentials as part of the upgraded package. Each this items required taxes and fees. Additionally once you arrived on site you were advised that part of the arrangements required a 2 hour tour for a timeshare opportunity (which lasted 5-6 hrs). There were just too many surprises during this entire process.
Once on the ship - it was outdated, poor drainage in the bathrooms and unsanitary conditions existed, not enough/poor location of sanitation hand stations, and difficult to sleep due to the loud sounds of the engines and vibrations. Many times we were bombarded to purchase drinks (we don't drink), attend a comedy show or secure photos - way too much hard selling. The highlight of the trip was the onshore excursion while on Grand Bahamas Island as well as one performance on the ship (Sax and Song at night). This was not our first cruise by any means, however it will be the last one on this line. The ship should be dry-docked.
