We booked this cruise last summer so we could spend some time with old friends and enjoy some warm sunshine and fun at the same time.

From the first night we did not have a working toilet. As they said there were others in our area ofe the ship with the same problem. They blamed it on past passengers flushing foreign material down the toilet but we think the system was just broke down. We had backed up and running over toilets for the first 10 days of our cruise. Sometimes the system was just shut down with no water or vacuum system. We reported every instance to the hotel desk. Sometimes they came to work on it but most times they said the system was shutdown for repairs. So with that we got up and dressed immediately so we could make it down the long haul, down to the second deck and into our public bathroom. What a joke.

We requested a different cabin but they said they were booked solid and had no more cabins to offer. We were disheartened to learn that Holland America were selling discount last minute cruises for far less than we paid. The people without working toilets should have gotten these cabins.
