Fist of all, I can't say enough about Uniworld the company. What a class act! And the company focus of customer service permeates all through the staff. As an example: The Rhine River was at flood stage during our cruise, making it impossible to navigate some of the lochs. All of the river cruise ships had to dock in one area and wait for the river level to drop before continuing. While the rest of the cruise ship passengers sat around in the same place for two days, Uniworld made special arrangements for buses to take us to the towns and tours we otherwise would have missed (at no additional cost). Once the river dropped, every ship moved on, but we were the only ones that never missed a stop! AND, Uniworld later gave us a sizeable discount on a future cruise just for the inconvenience.

The River Queen is an absolutely beautiful ship, Every detail is lovely. The ship is immaculate and extremely warm and inviting. Our cabin was perfectly appointed and extremely comfortable. It was a luxurious oasis to retire to every evening.

The staff was absolutely outstanding. Polite, helpful, extremely competent and friendly. It felt like we were among friends the entire trip. The food was varied, plentiful and delicious.

Cabin Review

Standard Stateroom

While smaller than an ocean cruise ship cabin, our cabin was well apportioned and comfortable.

Basel is the embarkation point. The ship is docked in an industrial port area. Don't get to the ship and then hope to walk into town...

One of the real treats on our cruise. The Roman ruins and beautify town make this a real fascinating stop.

Cologne

Fun trip over the river.

Amsterdam

The canals are a must-see.

Amsterdam

Not the easiest city to navigate, so a guided walking tour was great.
