We love Vantage World Travel, and wanted to see the tulips in the spring in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, it was one of the colder springs, so we didn't see a lot of flowers, but we loved every minute of our trip.
The Vantage advantage, in addition to new, beautiful ships, is in the crew. The program managers, one for each 40 passengers, gets to know everyone individually. They are in addition to the local guides. Each group, identified by colors - yellow, blue, green etc., travels on excursions together, and the program manager goes along.
Vantage offers cultural connections, including lunches or dinners in people's homes. A great way to understand the local scene. They also provide free time - and cash - in selected ports - so that passengers can go to local restaurants to sample the cuisine. Some of our fellow travelers chose to go to McDonald's or Starbucks and pocket the change, but the more enlightened in the group went to local restaurants and sampled the local cuisine.
The suite was beautiful. Comfort and luxury! Lots of room. We especially enjoyed the complimentary minibar, restocked daily. The bed was the best. Bathroom included a tub and separate glassed-in shower. French balconies, automated curtains.
