Comedy cruise was chosen as a birthday get-together for friends and family. A bit miffed that P&O didn't also mention it was an NRL cruise for the Auckland 9's but that's no reflection of the ship.

This was our second P&O cruise in 3 months and we preferred the Pearl to the Jewel, even though it's older. The decor is brighter and the whole ship just looked and smelt fresher.

The crew were long-term Pearl staff, with some there since before it coming to P&O, and they have a pride in the ship (more so than the Jewel crew) and they told us that they were sad it was leaving the fleet.

Cabin Review

Cabin Outside with porthole

Good sized cabin with queen bed.

Smallish porthole that has full cover that allows for full blackout.

Good bathroom facilities.

Room steward excellent

Port Reviews

Sydney (Australia)

White Bay is awful to get to and a big barn when you get there.
