Cruise chosen to see towns which would not otherwise be visited. The day tours were not run for the benefit of cruisers. They were often too short, almost as if Scenic really didn't want to run and pay for them. They often left people for long hours waiting for transport, or having to walk long distances to get back to a transport point. A longer tour would have given the cruisers a much better picture of the stops visited.
Onboard management weren't interested in responding to any comments. they said we should make the comments in the feedback forms, knowing that such forms are rarely acted on.
The dining room and kitchen staff were always attentive, and service was good. The butler service is a bit of a gimmick and marketing spin, as the cabin attendant can do anything that is needed. Entertainment was a bit ordinary, except for the resident pianist.
