This was our first cruise. Therefore we went thru a travel agent to make sure everything would go smooth and be planned. We chose The Oasis of the Seas due to the reputation and it being a large ship.

We had been told in the past that the food was awesome. However, this wasn't our experience.

The food was awful. I ordered a steak in the dining hall and it just didn't look like a steak at all. The consistency was mushy to say the least. After that dinner, we resorted to going to the Wind Jammer buffet. Again, the food wasn't great, some was cold, others were greasy. Day to day the selection didn't change much. Due to size of the ship, it took alot of time to check on when dining places were open as they would have scattered hours. So if you find something you like, make sure to know where it is and the hours it is open. I asked about the fabulous desserts and seafood that everyone raves about, and never found them. Until we went to one of the pay restaurants, at that time we experienced a good meal and a great dessert. This is the one we had in the 7 days. If you choose to go on this ship, pay for the upscale restaurants.
