Sail Date: Aug 2016

Chose to sail with AmaWaterways as they are one of the few cruise lines that sail in France's Bordeaux region. This was my first river cruise and every expectation was exceeded tenfold.

This itinerary is fantastic as it is round-trip Bordeaux. The port stops have been thoughtfully executed to allow for the perfect balance between planned sightseeing (often several choices of sightseeing in each port) and free time to enjoy the luxuries of the beautiful AmaDolce.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this is the first year that Ama has been sailing on the Dordogne and Garrone rivers, everything went flawlessly! From the five-star onboard dinners to the choice of excursions including walking, gentle walking, bike tours and "limited edition" tours, I felt like the sightseeing I experienced was well-rounded and the local guides so incredibly knowledgeable.
