Was looking for a crossing where we could play bridge, and see some Spanish ports. The Eurodam was very nice. We had stopped going on HAL for several years because of mediocre food and numbers passengers with walkers. We found the food to be excellent, except for the alternate restaurants. The Asian one was very good, but the ultra gourmet restaurant, De Librije, was a joke! Presentation was awesome, but food was poor. We are avid about trying gourmet restaurants, has have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the US. This restaurant needs to be changed to serving something edible. A total waste of money...

Entertainment was very good. Service excellent. Very stable ride. Holland America has changed it policy regarding bridge lessons and bridge experts onboard. They will only offer this on a 30 day or longer cruise. If you cruise 28 days, or combine two long cruises, you will not have this on the schedule. Very disappointing, especially on a crossing where there are so few ports. I hope HAL reexamines this policy.

Did an independent hotel, Arc Las Ramblas.. Excellent location, great staff and breakfast. Could walk to restaurants and attractions

Seville

Excellent independent tour. Wish we could spend a vacation in this city. Perfect!

Madeira (Funchal)

Engaged a cab for a 4 hour tour. Found it right outside the port. Very good English. Felt very safe. Charming driver and well versed in the sights and culture of his city.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Easy to find a cab to the airport.

Malaga

Charming port. Walked around and enjoyed all

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

Interesting to walk around. English widely spoken.
