Both Embarkation and Debarkation went extremely smooth. As a Platinum member we were able to embark even earlier than we normally do... without a hitch! I was a little disappointed that there were no Carnival 'post' tours because there is NO luggage storage available at the Orlando MCO Airport (or nearby) and our flight didn't leave until 4:30pm so we rented a car at the MCO Airport for $45 (stored our luggage in the trunk) and then spent the time pleasantly at Mall within minutes of the Airport.

Our Cabin was 8475 and it was fantastic!! The Balcony had more depth than all the other balconies (2 long lounge chairs / 2 regular chairs / Table) around us and this was our first time getting a balcony and the very rear of the ship. We loved it the best of all cabins we've ever been in prior.

This was my first time ever (in over 30+ cruises) having 'early dining'. As most things, it too had pros and cons but the biggest con was that we were constantly rushed due to poor service at dinner. We share this with the Maitre' D on the 2nd evening, who said he would correct the problem immediately, but the problem continue throughout the entire cruise. We (4 of us sharing 1 table to ourselves) arrived for dining the minute the doors opened each and every evening. We pre-reviewed the menu and we were ready to order immediately, however our servers were not on their game. Each night they took our order last (even though the Maitre' D said they would take it first?) and they first thing they would do is set a bread basket in the middle of our table and then within minutes they would remove it with a different reason each night? and when we asked them to bring the bread basket back that replied that of course they would but they in fact never did. We usually ordered a few appetizers each, one (sometimes 2) entrees and a dessert with regular coffee. Our servers made us feel extremely rushed and uncomfortable because they were constantly flitting around as if they were confused and telling us things like "it'll be fine"(??) while we somehow were the last few left in the dining room night after night. I have never experienced anything like this before on a Carnival Cruise and was disappointed with the dinner dining experience.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

It was raining on and off all day so we just took a cab over to the French side and just tooled around and had a fantastic fresh fish Lunch.

San Juan

We took part of a self walking tour of the Forts, but it was 90 degrees and very humid with no shade available and very hot and stuffy tunnels. Then we just walked around the city.
