Cabin: Cloud 9 Spa Balcony

I took my daughter on this cruise for her high school graduation and 18th birthday. We stayed in a Cloud 9 suite. The spa was amazing and I went there almost every day. The food was unbelievable. I'm not quite sure how people can say the food was "too fancy". Great food is great food! If you don't like steak and lobster or Beef Wellington...then just go get a pizza and cheese fries and quit complaining! The burgers at guys burger joint were so addicting. The sushi was terrific. I just can't say enough about the amazing food.

The ship was beautiful. However, the IMAX theatre was FREEZING...so take a sweatshirt. They had warm blankets on the deck at night during the movie when it was chilly.

The entertainment was great. I learned on this trip that I will alway get a balcony. It was infinitely better than a cabin without one. The ports and shore excursions were perfect. Climbing Mt. Etna, Scuba diving in Malta, Snorkeling in Greece, a tour of Pompeii. We saw the Leaning Tower of Pisa, spent the afternoon in France, and went to the beautiful Montserrat Monastery in Spain. It was nothing short of amazing.

Cloud 9 Spa Balcony

I don't remember my cabin number (It's been a few months). The room was great. I loved being higher up on the ship with a private entrance to the spa.

Port Reviews

Athens (Piraeus)

There was a strike going on when we arrived, but Carnival was able to figure everything out and, although it did take quite a while to get onto the ship, I think they did the best they could under the circumstances.
