Been on the ship before. They have just started the Lincoln Center Stage program. A wonderful, young quintet played almost every night.... sometimes twice or three times per day. If you are into chamber music you will love it! The concerts were packed every time. The stage shows, however, left something to be desired. I had remembered them very good the last time we were on the ship. This time the ones they had were boring and perhaps time-worn. The food is always fab and the staff are the best afloat.
The open-seating, if that's what you chose, takes some getting used to. As you have no assigned table and may have to wait 10-15 minutes for the type of table you want... like a table for two. Unless you want to share with 8-10 people asking you "where are your from?" "what do you do? for the first 10 minutes. Meanwhile, no staff member is trying to sell you stuff or making announcements all the time like on some other ships. I think they are used to experienced travelers, which is what we and most of the passengers looked like.
The ports? Ach, who cares? Brainless islands. If you want to buy your liquor, perfume, jewelry, tee shirts and "shrunken heads" for your next garage sale then by all means go ashore. We had a verandah (balcony), which was great! Terrific value for your $$$.
Just big enough for us.... we are not overweight! Great balcony views...sunrise, sunset, ports, sea.
Walked around the town.
