Sail Date: Nov 2016

We sailed from Budapest to Nurenberg for an eight day Romantic Danube river cruise. At no fault to Viking, we had a last minute flight change due to the Lufthansa pilot strike so we arrived to the ship a few hours later than expected.

We enjoyed all aspects of our trip. The food and associated service was excellent. There are many food choices at lunch and dinner and there is always good vegetarian meals available. There is always coffee, tea, hot chocolate and water available during off meal hours as a help yourself machine is just outside the lounge along with great pastries.

The included city tours were very good, and Viking describes the amount of walking for those less able. There are some city tours that offer a less rigorous option for those than need that. Each evening the cruise director will explain the time schedule for the following day, plus there is a printed schedule with some history about the port destination in your room.
