First...I selected Western Caribbean as where I sailed because that was the original intent....

I booked this cruise in May 2016 for my son (14) and I over the week of Thanksgiving. I paid for a cabin upgrade, airport transportation, alcohol package for me, bottomless soda for kiddo and booked our excursions for Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Cozumel. I purchased our flight by using Skymiles and booked a hotel the night before using hotel points (I travel a lot for business and frequently use those perks for family vacations). I am an experienced traveler however this was my first cruise. We were excited for this new adventure!

I logged into my Carnival account one week prior to print all of our documents. NONE of my excursions were available on my itinerary. It said to "check back later." OK....so I logged on Monday, Tuesday and then on Wednesday became extremely nervous and called Carnival. Our stops had changed. Apparently 3 generators have not been working and the ship cannot go "as fast" as it normally would so our stops would now be Costa Maya and Cozumel. I rolled with it and booked a different excursion. They said I would get a refund. Still wasn't too pleased that Carnival did not communicate the change.

Balcony

Small but doable. The balcony was awesome! A little loud at night as we were just off the elevators/stairs and noise from parties on Lido deck drifted down.
