Cabin: Superior Suite

We got off the Explorer two days ago. It was our first crossing and it was wonderful. The Explorer is a beautiful ship in all respects. The decor is elegant and is obvious lots of money and thought went into it. We loved everything about the cruise.

Cabin: Even though Regent's cabins are larger than most cruise lines, this cabin was much bigger. Lots of drawers (including the bathroom), bathroom with double sinks, a large walk-in closet, and a large balcony. The cabin was beautifully decorated in blues and cream. Our cabin stewards kept everything clean, neat, and in perfect condition.

Food...We had the best food we have had in any Regent cruise and we find Regent's food outstanding. The new menu in Compass Rose (main dining room) is the best I've seen. It includes lobster tail, filet mignon, dover sole and many other good food every night along with the chef''s specials. The specialty restaurants are over the top in my opinion. Prime 7 is the steakhouse, Chartreuse the French restaurant, and Pacific Rim the Asian fusion. All three had wonderful menus. The Veranda is the menu for breakfast and lunch and the decor and food are outstanding. The Veranda becomes a nice Italian eatery at night.

Cabin Review

Superior Suite

Cabin F2

A very spacious cabin with lots of room. So many drawers (including bathroom) I didn't get to use them all. Large, walk-in closet. Tastefully decorated. The bathroom was large and had double sinks. A large shower and tub.

Port Reviews

Toulon

We went to St. Tropez and Port Grimaud. It was lovely. We had a very good guide.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

We were in Rome on our own.
