One of the drivers for picking this cruise was because it originally started in Istanbul, a city we have waited years to visit. Sadly, due to it being deemed unsafe, our embarkation was moved to Athens. It's quite some years since we'd been there, so whilst not what we hoped for, we nevertheless enjoyed a couple of days there pre-cruise.

This was our 2nd cruise on Constellation this year and our 5th with Celebrity. It never ceases to amaze me when I read some other reviews how people can be so derogatory about a cruise line that provides the most incredible overall cruise holiday experience. I think that people often forget that cruising is a mass market holiday and that the food and entertainment in particular has to appeal to a very wide cross section and nationalities.

Ok, so the buffet isn't gourmet, but there is so much choice, you'd have to be exceptionally fussy not to find plenty to eat. It is true that the layout of the buffet isn't the best on the Millenium Class ships, which is something that has been addressed on the Solstice Class, but the former are older vessels. People also complain about lack of seating, which is nonsense. The issue is that the seating closest to the buffet gets busy, but there's always plenty of seating further back...........you just have to walk a couple of yards!

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

The cabins are a good size. The bathroom is functional with a perfectly adequate shower.

Plenty of space for clothes etc., and a very comfortable bed.
