We did the final Mediterranean sailing of the Vista before she made the Transatlantic trip to the USA. We stayed in an inside room on the 7th floor and signed up for anytime dining.

Embarkation, outside of the Greek Air Traffic Controllers going on strike the day we were slated to arrive, went okay. One thing odd did happen- it appeared as if someone stole my luggage tags and the wire cables holding my cruise tags. Luckily all our luggage made it to our room okay.

Once on board and since this was a brand new ship, I guess I was expecting something 'more' than we had found on previous ships so I may have been slightly disappointed only because of my own expectations. What we did find is that the room, although square-foot-wise it was quite ample, the lack of storage space especially closets, was rather annoying. One narrow hanging closet and one narrow closet with shelves and drawers built in was all we had. There was a set of three open shelves under the counter that housed the mini-fridge but most of them were so 'short' and deep that all I used them for was to hold the pool towels and some paperwork. And, with the lack of closets, the life jackets are now housed under the bed therefore making it tough to even stuff your empty suitcases under the bed. Read more
