Our Galapagos cruise on the Grace (Quasar Expeditions) was somewhat disappointing.

13 passengers and a crew of 12 on a historic yacht (named for Princess Grace who honeymooned on it) sounded promising. And the itinerary, sites, and naturalist Rafa were great. Although elegant in a classic way, the yacht lacked amenities commonly seen on cruise ships such as TV, internet access, and any activities after 8:30 PM when it seemed the crew was interested in getting the passengers to bed. For a small number of passengers who bonded pretty well together it was ironic that the crew most directly involved day to day with passengers (the cruise director, waiter, and naturalist) never seemed to learn our names! The food, while excellent and bountiful for the most part, has to receive a downgrade because one night the majority of passengers developed moderate to severe gastrointestinal symtoms; an occurrence that the young cruise director attributed to a "virus"; a more classic presentation of a food-borne illness could not have occurred.
