Our Galapagos cruise on the Grace (Quasar Expeditions) was somewhat disappointing.

13 passengers and a crew of 12 on a historic yacht (named for Princess Grace who honeymooned on it) sounded promising. And the itinerary, sites, and naturalist Rafa were great. Although elegant in a classic way, the yacht lacked amenities commonly seen on cruise ships such as TV, internet access, and any activities after 8:30 PM when it seemed the crew was interested in getting the passengers to bed. The food, while excellent and bountiful for the most part, has to receive a downgrade because one night the majority of passengers developed moderate to severe gastrointestinal symtoms; an occurrence that the young cruise director attributed to a "virus"; a more classic presentation of a food-borne illness could not have occurred.

Cabin Review
