My Bride had a three day weekend so we tried out the Bahamas Paradise Cruise line that runs between Palm Beach and Freeport, Grand Bahamas every other day. We knew it was a no frills cruise going in and were pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. We just wanted a way to make a quick snorkel trip to the Bahamas and this worked out great. As soon as we pulled into the port we were greeted by the valet parking crew. The parking is valet only and it costs $18 a night. You then get a luggage tag and carry your own luggage through security and then drop it off to be brought to your cabin.
After check in ( it took about 10 minutes) you run the sales gauntlet. Pictures, drink coupons, internet, or full bottles of booze. We opted to purchase a drink coupon book that is good for 10 drinks. It coast $65 plus 18% gratuities. Once on board we went to our cabin (E123) on the 7th deck. We had an ocean view cabin and were pleasantly surprised by its size. The bathroom was a good size for a cruise ship also. As far as amenities it had a hair dryer, one 115volt outlet (bring a three way if you need more) and a 19" tube type TV. It wasn't anything fancy but did the job well for a two night cruise.
As far as the food goes it was fair to good. We had dinner in the MDR both nights and the BBQ lunch when we returned from our outing. I tried to eat breakfast in the buffet and it was terrible.(I found out later that they cook food to order out by the pool) They have a specialty restaurant but we did not try it.
