We choose this cruise as we really wanted to see Japan and they had a great itinerary so you could experience the four major islands. We booked a Suite figuring if we are on for 16 days, we liked a larger balcony and stateroom. Quite frankly the ship is OLD. Our suite was not impressive for the price paid, better suites on Holland and Regent, and they have. many more amenities. The ship was refitted for the Japanese which is fine, but didn't expect everything on the boat to be that way. The activities during the day, the entertainment were all geared that way. The entertainment was abbreviated as they first said it in English then Japanese. The shore excursions were just okay as most of the guides were very hard to understand due to the accent and quite frankly the people on the ship really didn't know the full details of the excursions. I also like to have fun in the casinos after the show, and it was never stated in their brochure that the casino would be closed over half of the time we were on board due to the fact we were to close to land. I think if you want to experience Japan find a line that caters to everyone. This ship needs to be overhauled and they need to step up their food, service was good.
