I choose this particular cruise line based on reviews. My destination was to Alaska, regardless of which boat to take. However, after having sailed on Norwegian and Carnival, I opted to go with Princess based on the grander scale everyone was raving about. Unfortunately, I more than likely won't be choosing Princess again. More than once from several employees we received rude and obnoxious treatment from the staff. I gave the bartender at the International Cafe the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe he had a bad day. When his behavior occurred on more than one occasion. That's when I decided never again, will I go on a Princess cruise. He even made a comment to another employee I guess she can't see the menu up on the wall and she needs a menu. I am 39 years old and yes I can't see very well. I asked for a menu because I literally could not see and left my glasses in the room. Plus it seemed like Princess was basically all about getting more money from you. We were scammed into purchasing these coupon books, to go on a scavenger hunt and get free so called items. We purchased three, $75.00 and one store owner had the audacity to say it was one per state room. I was like no we purchased 3 booklets. Then when we did not purchase more merchandise, we were looked at like cheap-skates.
The food, was bland and not always available. Breads, and pastries were stale and old, to the point of hardened.
Sorry Princess, but this is a thumbs down!
