We chose Princess after reading good reviews, and because they are known for their Alaska cruises. Unfortunately we won't be travelling with Princess again.

We were very disappointed in the level of service. We have travelled with other cruise lines in the past, and this was by far the worst level of service we have ever received. Crew were not overly friendly, and sometimes downright rude. I can honestly say that in my past 6 cruises, I've never experienced a truly rude crew member like I did on this cruise on at least 4 occasions. I'm used to being smiled at, greeted, moved over in the hallway if possible (not cut off) and just helpful. This was not the case on the Crown Princess. Our only consistent good service was our dinner servers. They were always very friendly and attentive.

Here are some of my specific complaints:

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin B2

HORRIBLE. We had a verandah room on the Caribe deck and it had 2 floor beds with 2 beds that dropped out of the ceiling. My children hit their heads HARD on these overhead beds at least 10 times. What a bad design these rooms are. You can barely get to the balcony if the beds are down and you are always at risk of hitting your head. Also, when the 4th bed is down, NO ONE in the room can watch TV.
