We have both cruised before but this time we used the P&O airport shuttle bus which took us from the airport to the ship and back again - minimum of fuss and quite cheap. This particular cruise left from one terminal and returned to a different terminal so the shuttle bus was an added bonus - one less thing to think about.
Embarkation and Customs were handled very well considering the large number of people which needed to be processed in a relatively short time. The same applied when using the tenders to access the islands with no docking facilities.
Overall the cruise was fantastic for us - at our request the bar steward was even teaching us simple bits of the Filipino language.
The Cabin was more than good enough for the amount of time we spent in it.
It is not 5 star nor is the price!
The cabin stewards were fantastic.
This is more a comment on one beach/bay rather than the entire island as we felt no need to leave the beach area. There were markets along the back of the beach but no pressure selling. If you want lobster you go and buy it, if you want a photo with a snake or iguana for a couple of bucks its yours.
The beach itself is amazing with leafy trees down to the water and coral up to the beach. The coral at the beach is not what you see in an documentary but it is still a great place to have a snorkel around.
