This was our first time on a cruise. We choose the ship as we wanted to visit the Baltics. This was our honeymoon and NCL gave us a complementary upgrade to the ultimate beverage package, which was brilliant as the cocktails were yummy!!!!!
I found the staff were friendly, really approachable and mostly professional. You could see some staff were only training so they were upskilling themselves but really pleasant and mannerly. It felt like a big ship but you never really had to que for anything and there was always space. There was loads of choice with food, in that the different restaurants had different menu's. We ate in Cagneys Steakhouse twice (paid restaurant) the steak was so good we had to go back and the price for good for the quality you received.
Entertainment was good, however I would have personally preferred to have a bit more choice, the stardust theatre did a lot of musical type shows, the odd comedy would have being nice. There was some good music quiz's and a hilarious newly weds show as well. There was a good mix of ages and nationalities on board. There was families on board but you rarly saw the kids as they were at the kids clubs.
Cabin was small, not a lot of room to move around, However there was ample storage room (suitcase fit under the beds) and it had all the basic facilities that you needed. The cabin was cleaned regularly and there was always fresh towels and anything you may need. The fish on the carpets in the hallways was a great way to help you navigate around the cabin corridors, in that the fish swim to the front of the ship. At turndown in the evenings, the cabin steward would make towel animals which provided great entertainment.
