We chose the cruise mainly because it went out of New Orleans which was close to our location. It was our first cruise so we weren't sure what to expect. The embarkation process went smooth. Our room was ready when we arrived on the cruise ship which was very nice. Unfortunately, I wish it wouldn't have been ready and they would have cleaned it better. We paid good money to stay on the Lido deck. The room needs a major overhaul. The bathroom stunk like urine. The countertops were not cleaned nor were the mirrors. It was a real disappointment. The curtains had stains on them as well as the little throw pillows on the bed. The mini-fridge in the room had mold growing in it. The room steward was not able to answer any of our questions and had us call Guest Services. Honestly, I'm not sure what his purpose was.

The overall ship was nice, but could use a remodel. The two pools were small for the number of people that were on the ship and one of the pools was out of order the first two days of the cruise. The shows in the Encore theater were okay. I took my kids to see two of them and felt uncomfortable with some of the dances and outfits the girls were wearing. We did play BINGO and D-Money was awesome. He kept it fun!

We tried to use the fitness center, but all the treadmills and ellipticals were either taken or not working. There was not enough equipment for the number of people on the boat. I'm not sure why so many machines did not work. This needs to be fixed!

Cabin Review

Cabin Lido Balcony

The cabin was very disappointing for the money spent to stay on the Lido deck with a balcony. The room was not clean at all. The bathroom stunk like urine. I tried to clean it with Clorox Wipes, but the smell would not go away. The mirrors in the cabin and bathroom were not cleaned. There were small glasses in the bathroom that had dust all over them as well as dust/dirt on the various shelves in the bathroom. One of the closets had a dead bug in the corner. The curtains had stains all over them as well as the little throw pillows on the bed. The sliver tray with the glasses in the cabin had clumps of dust on the tray. A good thorough cleaning is needed or a remodel!!!
