Previously, my wife and I enjoyed the Bordeaux wine themed cruise. We enjoy wine themed travel. We decided to register for the Douro - River of Gold Cruise. We're very happy that we did. The wine and port excursions were magnificent. The port evening was magnificent. We look forward to our next wine themed river cruise.

The selection of wines were excellent. The meals could have had more imagination. We found them mostly too simplistic. The Lisbon evening Fado dinner was terrible. We had to walk in the rain on slippery stone up and down a steep hill. My wife walked with a cane and was very fearful The price was expensive, but we were served dry chicken. "A poor excuse for a dinner". The Fado show was well done and enjoyable.
