This cruise was excellent. Keeping in mind that many sights in Portugal, worth seeing, are a bit inland, so this cruise not only took you along the beautiful river, but inside to towns, and experiences that you would not normally see. Excursions were extremely well planned and every detail was well thought out.

I've been on several other river cruises, and we are most happy with Viking and the job they do. This is a trip that I would do again, perhaps in another season to get a different experience of vineyards and wineries. Viking tailors the trip to experience different things depending on the season.

A job well done at Viking for having such a well trained staff and wonderful city guides who are passionate about the job they do. I would strongly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see Portugal, or for someone who enjoys wine.
