Imagine heading into your local travel agent and telling them that you are half considering a cruise for your Honeymoon, and then the travel consultant recommends MSC, well if this happens to you, run for the hills!!

I was half hearted about a cruise to be honest, I felt it would be very restrictive - I was later proved right, but the travel consultant persuaded myself and my now husband, that this would be a relaxing well earned rest after all the stress of the wedding planning. We could have all the little extras that all honeymooners deserve

All inclusive - we left having settled a bill for over €250, this was including the charge for tips - €9 per person per day for all the hard work people are doing in the background or as I like to call it Just doing your job

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B1

Cabin was clean and comfortable, if a little smaller than photographs depict. The sound of the wind coming through the door all night was a novelty at first but was constant and disturbing

Port Reviews

Venice

I love Venice, its old world charm and its quirkiness but it is expensive, very romantic thought - lots to do for a short stay

Have been before but ventured further away from the center this time to where people live and work and spent time in a lovely park and found some lovey restaurant

Also took the opportunity to visit Murano, wonderful place like a mini Venice less busy and visited a glass making factory

Bari

Ok, engaged in a walking tour - not organized by the cruise ship and saws a few churches

Santorini

Always wanted to visit and it was lovely to see - first time on a proper cable car, well worth the experience, decided to descend down on foot, encountered a lot of people who had forked out a few euros to go down on poor donkeys who looked suitably depressed

Athens (Piraeus)

Acropolis, on the bucket list and well worth a visit

Majestic city and port and would definitely go back

Corfu

Lot of rubbish about as the refuse collectors were on strike but that could not detract from the feeling of welcome , the nice people and the beauty of Corfu

Kotor

Beautiful and well kept town, didn't have time to take in a lot but it was breathtaking to sail in and out of and left me wanting to go back and hire a car. Green and lush and aquamarine water, what more could you want

Katakolon (Olympia)

Didn't disembark this day
