I chose this ship because of its great reviews. We traveled from Bucharest to Budapest, spending 7 nights on board and 3 nights in hotels. The ship was very clean, only a year old, and the crew was wonderful. Our cabin was cleaned and picked up twice a day . The included tours were informative and interesting. They often required a bus trip, but the guides were pleasant and made the ride go by quickly.
This was our first Viking cruise and we were very happily surprised. The food was delicious and of a wide variety. One always had a choice of service at a table or a buffet. Our cabin was lovely. The entertainment brought on board was excellent. The singer/piano player who stayed on the cruise was not so good. In all, it was a great way to see Eastern Europe. We did not go on any of the optional tours, but heard those who went enjoyed them.
There were fresh flowers in our living area and fresh cookies daily. Laundry was included and the balcony was small, but nice. The bathroom and shower were large. We went up river so there was a bit of vibration and noise from the engines, but we got used to it.
