We were fortunate to enjoy a complete river cruise from Nuremberg to Budapest when many others suffered the wrath of a drought. We received enough rain and drizzle prior to allow us to travel the entire river. Even so, the Viking Var team kept us updated and we did not know until it happened that we would not do a ship swap. They were so organized I did not worry about it.
Traveling the river was slowed by low water however. One night we were delayed getting back to our ship as we tried to meet the ship at a dock. Viking bought us all coffee and cake to enjoy in a local restaurant. As we waited for the ship, an oompah band showed up and everyone enjoyed the music in the parking lot. Truly a highlight of the week.
All the food for the week was delicious with plenty for everyone. I focus on quality over quantity and was rarely disappointed. And there was plenty of German wine to go around! All the staff were fabulous from the cruise director to the housekeeper who kept our room beautifully tidy.
Clean and attractive. Well kept. the mattress was ready to be changed out as it was a bit saggy.
Overrated organ concert but beautiful place.
We went on Sunday so they rolled up the sidewalks for the most part. Beautiful little village.
Good overview for when went out on our own.
Yes,go. Liked the library.
Great city center glad we came early to spend extra time enjoying it.
