This was my first cruise and my hubby's second. We were very excited since we don't do much traveling and this was a big adventure for me. We met friends in Orlando, FL for a couple of days and it was an amazing time followed by a week on the Valor. The ship was nice, staff was outstanding, very attentive and friendly. Fellow passengers were friendly as well. At each port we got off, we enjoyed. Found the "excursions" to be pricey so the 4 of us just headed off ourselves with no problems.

Our room was on 1 port on the inside. We will never get an inside room again since as soon as you were in there you lost all track of time because there were no windows or visual clock (now we know, but not anyones fault, amateur mistake). Every night there was a surprise towel animal on our bed. Quite fun! Room was always well kept and clean.

The food was "okay". We ate breakfast and lunch on the Lido deck. Unfortunately after one port there were a lot of flies that were getting on the food but prior to that the selection was good. Dinner was in the Washington. A good selection that should have been fine for anyone. A "standard" menu side (same every night) and then a menu "of the night" on the other (changed daily). You could even get vegetarian if wanted. I thought it was good but not exceptional.
