We flew in 2 days early to enjoy Fort Lauderdale. Stayed at the Hilton Marina and was convenient for water taxi's and our annual trip to Coconuts for dinner! The morning of our cruise we had a flash storm at 7am that we got to watch sweep across the intercoastal waterway from our 8th floor balcony. The power was shut down at the port so previous cruisers were late in leaving. After about a 15 minute wait in line we entered the suite line up and that went really quick. Everyone was great except for the grumpy old man taking our pictures. He was awful and very rude. We walked right on to the ship by 12noon and our room was ready! Went for a nice lunch and our first cocktail and explored the ship.

Loved this ship. It is the perfect size not too overwhelming. We loved our stay in Aqua class and would do that again anytime. Blu restaurant was the best-Delicious food in great portion sizes. Andy our waiter looked after us every morning and night and we just really enjoyed the peacefulness of Blu, not feeling rushed and just a relaxed meal. Most people who sat beside us were great at conversations and a few did not talk at all which is just fine with us. We never had a problem getting a table and went at different times each night. Having the premium beverage package had us enjoying the best beverages ! We enjoyed yummy wines with our dinners and several different cocktails throughout the day. We never had to wait more than a few minutes for a drink. Loved the special coffee's and took full advantage of that. We went to the shows every night and enjoyed all of them. They were never that crowded and we always found a good place about 20 minutes before the show started.

We had 2 dinner in Ocean Liners and they were so nice. It is old fashioned table side service that was perfect. The tables are spaced nicely and they wait on you like you are the only person they are serving, We really enjoyed it.

Cabin Review

Aqua Class Balcony

Cabin A1

This was a spacious cabin with balcony. It had the fancy shower system which was great and fog free mirror. Loved the deck 11 open air balcony without a roof. Great for star gazing at night. Even though it was open at the top we still only had 4-6 hours of sun a day . The bed was very comfortable. Loads of storage-we had empty cupboards! Bad thing was it was across from a staff door that banged and slammed from 6am until 11pm. This staff door needs a silent closer on it to stop it from slamming as staff would bring trollies, etc. out of it and no-one caught the door so it would not slam.
