Upon boarding the ship, it took over 6 hours to receive our luggage only to find that every item had been removed in their search for alcohol (2 of our bags had been checked by TSA). No respect for personal property or an effort to keep things the way they were found. While waiting on our luggage, there was a constant barrage of staff pushing poorly overpriced drinks.

We are not big fans of Golden Corral type buffet lines but if that is your thing then this is your place. By the way, no disrespect to Golden Corral, but Carnival can't even come close to them. The food at the Washington restaurant was not only poor, every dinner was flat out disgusting. The steak, mussels, scallops, baked potatoes, fish, chicken and even the pasta was well over cooked and poorly seasoned. It is clear that they have no one checking the quality of what goes to the table. No exaggeration but I have never ordered seafood so dry or steak so over cooked. They did have an option for better quality steak for a nominal fee of $20.00 that 2 people in our party paid to get something decent.

Three days into our trip, and after both my wife and I already developed intestinal issues from the food, over half the people in our party contacted the same virus and discussed in previous comments. It starts with fever/chills, severe coughing and respiratory problems, sore throat and green mucus. We are both missing our first days back at work. BTW, medical center nurses didn't clean up room after previous patient and I had to ask her to wear gloves. There was a constant line of people with the same symptoms at the medical center each trip we made and what seemed to be many more guest coughing by trips end.

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony

Cabin 8N

Very small and crowded with only one electrical outlet at desk, found one behind TV by surprise (both opposite of bed) and European outlet in bathroom. Toilet and shower the same size as an RV or boat. Very poor mattress.

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Beach was clean. Cheap drinks. Buffet at resort was the best food of the trip but a walk.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Just boarded here. Avis Rental was a bit far and packed

St. Thomas

Champagne Snorkel was ok. drive to boat was very scary and not in a good location.

San Juan

Pretty place. Guide could have been more knowledgeable.
