Sail Date: Mar 2016

We are an engaged couple, 29 and 27 years old for reference.

We got on the ship very easily, and were told that our room was already all set up and waiting for us, since we were 'guaranteed' sailors on the bottom deck (Riviera) we were pleasantly surprised. Went to our small interior room, the style is dated a bit, but nothing obnoxious. The room was very clean, and always felt that way the entire time. We got unpacked and of course headed to lunch, like everyone else, but didn't have to wait too long to get a burger and a drink. Overall the food was fine. We are big foodies and usually cruise Holland America even though we are younger just for the lack of children and higher quality food, but this was a last minute trip for us. The dinners and sea day brunches in the dining room were a 6.5ish/10, very slightly better than going out to something like longhorn steakhouse etc, but with much better service. The Paris (buffet) food was akin to private high school lunches, ranging from crappy pizza, to ok pressed sandwiches to pretty darn good stirfry.

The first evening was chilly out of tampa, but I wanted to be on deck to watch us go under the Skyway bridge (for anyone wondering, that is why larger cruise ships don't service Tampa, they have to fit under it) and man, we *barely* made it, kind of cool. The hot tubs filled up fast with bros from UF and FSU, so get there early if you want space and it's cold out.
