Let me begin by saying, we always have a good time when cruising. It's a wonderful vacation experience with food, service and entertainment. However, we all may have a different opinion on level of quality, etc. and we all can have a difference of opinion regarding the ship. That being said, our opinion regarding the Constellation is that the ship is mediocre - as was our experience based on a variety of factors.

The food. How can one ruin breakfast? Have eggs and pancakes arrive cold morning after morning in the main dining room. Have toast arrive cold and brittle. Dinner was also erratic in terms of proper temperature and the menu was not great - to be kind. While we were never hungry, it was a shame to think that this is what Celebrity has come to. We are elite plus, so have lots of experience on which to base our opinion.

Our cabin was another source of disappointment. We had booked the cruise rather late and so had the last cabin available. It was an inside on deck 9. The size was fine - the bathroom was not. The grout had rust and mold and this was not pretty. The cabin had an almost continual internal noise from the air conditioner and a loud motor noise at night that we could not identify. So, try not to book cabin 9135.

Port Reviews

Antigua

We found a van operator at the port and he gave us a tour. This is a very poor island.

St. Maarten

We always walk into town. It's an easy half to 3/4 of a mile.

St. Croix

Bought a cute magnet at the port. Just walked around.
