My husband and I and my daughter in her twenties cruised to Eastern Caribbean for 7 days with Emerald cruise embarked on Jan 30th 2016. We had a fantastic time.
Our steward Edward was very polite and efficient. We didn't see him much, just a few times in the hallway, but our room always got cleaned in the morning and the up bed was put down for us in the evening. We were amazed how he knew that were not in the room and got everything done so well.
Our waiter Narisak, who is from Thailand, was very fast and knowledgeable and considerate, took his job very seriously. Food was good, service was unbeatable.

St. Thomas
we just got off the cruise and didn't walk to taxi station, just took a taxi inside the port and did an 3 hours island tour for $175. It was not a good value. The drive asked us if we wanted to shop a grocery store.
St. Maarten
We didn't book it. Just walked off the ship, and got a taxi by ourselves, so we can stop anywhere and for any length of time we like
