We booked our trip on the ship a year in advance, the ship had not been to this port in the last four years. This ship is made for Italians speaking people only, if you do not speak that language then do not book a trip with them. You only hear the English if you are in your stateroom cause with 2,000 + Italians onboard you can not hear what is being announced.
Activities onboard are next to none, nothing goes on till around dinner time. This ship has two smoking areas, but only one can you have a drink at. Costa allows children to be in the casino at all hours and they even play the VLT machines. There is no quiet space onboard for adults only so you have kids jumping in/out of both pools etc. The shows are geared for Italians: Opera and other stage shows done in their language, this also goes for the food. Menus are a revamp every night same food but in different places on the menu. The food was so bad that I lost 12lbs. for the 10 days I was gone, has never happened before.
The staff do not speak English very well and it is very frustrating to try to communicate with any member of the crew.

this ships cabins were like others, nothing special with the exception of a shower curtain inside of the sliding glass door. This was a very messy event as the ship was on a heavy roll most days and water went everywhere. No ice in the ice bucket and the fridge was stocked but I did not feel like paying money for water that should be provided for free.
